OUR HISTORY

The Juliet Imbua Foundation was founded by its namesake, Juliet Imbua, a philanthropist driven by a deep sense of responsibility to serve humanity. Inspired by her personal experiences and a desire to address the systemic challenges faced by marginalized groups in Calabar, Juliet established the foundation to provide holistic support to those in need. The mission of JIF is to empower orphans, widows, the less privileged, and handicapped individuals by offering them access to education, healthcare, vocational training, and essential resources, thereby restoring dignity and fostering self-reliance. In its formative years, the Juliet Imbua Foundation began with modest outreach programs, focusing on identifying and supporting vulnerable individuals in Calabar. The foundation initially provided food, clothing, and medical supplies to orphans and widows, while also offering emotional and social support to those with disabilities. Through partnerships with local communities, religious organizations, and volunteers, JIF quickly gained traction and expanded its reach. The Juliet Imbua Foundation stands as a testament to the power of dedication and service, proving that even in the face of adversity, one person’s vision can spark transformative change. Through its unwavering commitment to orphans, widows, the less privileged, and handicapped individuals, JIF continues to light the path toward a brighter, more inclusive future in Calabar and beyond.
